How Does Pre-registration actually work?

Hostway have defined the 'Pre-registration' period as being the period running up to the date of registry 's opening for Sunrise applications - ie the 9th of October. By requesting your .asia domain name in the usual way through our orderform now, you will be offered a selection of choices by which to submit your registration request, these are:

• Trademark Sunrise (Sunrise Application Fee applies)
• Organization Sunrise (Sunrise Application Fee applies)
• Landrush Period (no fee)
• Ongoing Period (no fee)

Notes:

1. Pre-registrations submitted before October 9th (date of registry opening for Sunrise applications) are effectively queued for submission to the .asia registry at the appropriate time. Hostway take care of this for you, and will ensure the best possible chances of success.
   
2. Depending on which type of pre-registration you choose, your order will be submitted to the registry at that alloted time. Ie - if you select 'Landrush' as you pre-registration option, your order will be queued and submitted only when Landrush opens. Please consult the .asia Pre-registration and Sunrise timeline on our FAQ page.
   
3. Where more than one request is submitted to the registry for a specific .asia domain, an auction process will result. See the FAQ once again for more details.

How much will .asia domains cost?

Hostway UK's pricing for the Pre-registration, Sunrise and Live registration period thereafter will be as follows:

Sunrise Application Fee: GBP £54.95

• One-time charge
• Charged when order is received
• Refunds not issued

Registration Fee: £18.95 for 2 years

• Minimum registration term 2 yrs (for all registrations ordered on or before February 2008)
• May be ordered for up to 10 years (2,3,5 and 10 year registrations)
• Charged when we receive notification from registry on successful registration
• The fee may only be charged for successfully registered domains. It cannot be charged on unsuccessfully registered domains.
• Refunds not issued

Proxy / CED Contact Service Fee : GBP £2.95 / yr (recurring per year)

• Proxy Service Hostway offer for those applying from outside a .ASIA affiliated country
• Recurring annual fee
• Only charged on domains successfully registered with us
