Hosted Exchange™ Server Management

Hostway customers configure and perform day-to-day management of their Exchange mailboxes, distribution lists and public folders from the comfort of SiteControl. If a customer has chosen Exchange instead of Standard Mail, then “Exchange” appears instead of “Email” in the left navigation pane of SiteControl.
Exchange Functions covered within SiteControl incude:
Mailbox Management
Allows the Administrator to view, create new, edit, enable, disable or delete all mailboxes.
Delivery Options
Allows the Administrator to set delivery options for individual mailboxes and/or distribution lists using the following rules:
- Filter and reject messages from a certain list
- Set Incoming Message Size Limit (Max. 51200 KB)
- Set Outgoing Message Size Limit (Max. 51200 KB)—only for individual mailboxes
Mailbox Restrictions
Allows the Administrator to set the following rules for individual mailboxes:
- Allow another user to send email on the behalf of someone else
- Set another user to receive email from one address
- Hide specific mailbox and associated information from the shared Address Book
- Limit the number of recipients (maximum 100)
Public Folders
Allows the Administrator to create public folders. The public folders and their contents are stored on the Exchange server and are accessible via Outlook, OWA or their desired mail client.
Distribution List
Allows the Administrator to add multiple email addresses into one distribution list using a single email alias. When a message is sent to a distribution list, it is automatically routed to the email addresses of each member in the list. Via this section, the administrator can view, create new, customize reply email, delete, disable, reactivate and designate managing email address.
Contacts
Allows the Administrator to create external email recipients, who are not setup within the organization. Adding these contacts allows the ability to include them in a distribution lists or to be displayed in the Global Address List. Via this section, the administrator can view, create new, choose customized display name and email address for, add detailed information for and delete all contacts.
Note: There is no way to restrict contact viewing.
User Disk Usage
Allows the Administrator to view disk space quantities per mailbox. This section is also where the user can add additional disk space.
- Each Mailbox comes with 300MB of storage as standard.
- The storage is an aggregate number, basically the customer gets 300MB with each email box, but the allotment can be distributed among the mailboxes (via SiteControl).
- Each Mailbox comes with 50MB of public disk space.
