Our Windows and Linux Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS) are different from VPS in that they employ enterprise-grade hypervisor technology in the shape of VMware ESXi. These Virtual Machines perform exactly like stand-alone servers, allowing you to run exactly what you want to at a fraction of the cost of a physical server, but also have the advantage of being easy to migrate over to our latest vSphere Cloud platform when the time is right.
VDS represent not only a more efficient use of resources than traditional physical dedicated hosting, they allow you to build in redundancy more easily, which gives you greater reliability within the hosted solution, and much improved uptime for your critical websites and applications. It’s also a lot easier to scale resources up down as and when traffic dictates.
